Question about Google AdWords...?

Question:
You only pay for ads that are actually clicked on, not those that just appear on the screen. But then only these search engine crawler spiders go out and click on everything on a page. Don't they also click on your ad? Which incurs a cost for no benefit to you?

Answers:
No, that's not true. Search engine bots don't click on the Adwords ads -- otherwise, do you think there would be any advertisers using Adwords? Search engine bots cannot click or read Javascripts, which the Adwords ads are.

The problem is not the search engine robots, but the click bots that will sabotage your ads unleashed by your competitors or other people.
Hi there. I use AdWords for both of my websites. I do not think the spider crawling will effect your PPC status.

I have been mostly pleased with the service.
Search engines spiders won't click ads on publisher websites or Googles search pages. Generally, spiders ignore javascript alltogether, which is what invokes the Google ads. Thus, no clicks :)

Also, Google is kean on these kinds of things. They can tell if certain spiders are clicking through and won't charge the advertiser.
