I just visited your site, and found a few things that I would like to recommend before you start searching for others to link back to you. First is that you need to have content. I couldn't find a single link to a single band/song/artist. Making people search for the unknown is like asking someone to taste something they can't see or smell. You should create an alphabetical listing of the available bands/artists, and use those as links to the actual songs/albums that you will have on your site. I would also recommend getting rid of the plug for the banner people. Everyone that has a site is using some kind of advertising, and all are not created equal. Plugging a single banner also will limit the availability to add more addvertising later.
You also need to visit the likes of http://www.addme.com and pay attention to what they say you should do for robots.txt and ROR files to make the site SEO friendly. At my site below is also a free classifieds link that is on the welcome page. This is a great way to drive traffic to your site for free.
Lastly, you need to find places where the unknown bands are likely to hang out and talk them into using your site as a medium for getting known. Adding a bulletin board would be a good thing as well, since you want your visitors to be able to communicate with each other, as well as with the artists. I highly recommend PHPBB for this as it is easy to set up and manage.
