Answers:
The only good website through which you can earn money through Google adsense is your own, with the ones that appear on your site being determined through relavent keywords Google detects from the page contents, so you don't get any say in what appears (apart from being able to block adverts which clash with your own).
For instance, if you do a page about your hometown, you may get adverts about holiday homes available to rent there (as I live just outside the seaside town of Whitby in North Yorkshire, England I get a fair few of those on my site), while if you have a page grumbling about unfair bank charges you're liable to get adverts linking to the likes of HSBC or Barclays Bank. While a page on Fishing usually adverts for online tackle shops + tackle manufacturers selling direct (e.g. lures & flies, etc).
I believe payment can be made by either cheque, or an Electronic transfer direct to your bank account... but as I've only notched up about $36 in about 1.5 - 2yrs of using it (minimum payout $100), I ain't been payed yet (but it still beats the crap out of other ways I've tried getting revenue from my websites).
Please excuse, if I am telling you something you already know. Google Adsense and Adwords are a sort of tradeshop. Google Adwords is where websites pay to buy advertising space. Google Adsense is where the advertising space is bought. The Adsense space you display on your website: when somebody clicks on an ad in that space, the money paid by the advertiser makes it worthwhile to that advertiser in that "traffic" (potential customers) come to look at their website, and thus they are paying you for some help (Their Adwords ads are displayed in your Adsense space). Google, of course, "takes a cut" of the action. Google pays you in the manner specified by you when you signed up for the Adsense program. That is described in your Adsense profile.
AdSense is an advertising program run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text and image advertisements on their sites. These ads are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-thousand-ads-displayed basis. Google utilizes its search technology to serve ads based on website content, the user's geographical location, and other factors. Those wanting to advertise with Google's targeted ad system may sign up through AdWords. AdSense has become a popular method of placing advertising on a website because the ads are less intrusive than most banners, and the content of the ads is often relevant to the website.
It currently uses JavaScript code to incorporate the advertisements into a participating site. If it is included on a site which has not yet been crawled by the Mediabot, it will temporarily display advertisements for charitable causes known as public service announcements (PSAs). (Note that the Mediabot is a separate crawler from the Googlebot that maintains Google's search index.)
Many sites use AdSense to monetize their content and some webmasters work hard to maximize their own AdSense income. They do this in three ways:
1. They use a wide range of traffic generating techniques including but not limited to online advertising.
2. They build valuable content on their sites; content which attracts AdSense ads and which pay out the most when they get clicked.
3. They use copy on their websites that encourage clicks on Ads. Note that Google prohibits people from using phrases like "Click on my AdSense ads" to increase click rates. Phrases accepted are "Sponsored Links" and "Advertisements".
