Which is better for bidding on search words: bidding with Yahoo or using Google AdWords?
Question:

For some campaigns I do better with Google and with others Yahoo!. The only way to know is to test both.
1st, It is important to know what market you are going after. (i.e. International, Domestic, etc..) There are more international users that use google, but here in the States, they are pretty even, or maybe even leaning more towards Yahoo!, now. From my experience, I have seen better results with Yahoo! when targeting the state or local market in the USA. The positioning of the Yahoo! AKA Overture, is a lot easier for a consumer to find, opposed to the positioning of Google. I would advocate utilizing both marketing tools to see which hits your market best and then, of course, go with which brings you the best ROI. But to answer your question, if I had to only choose one, it would be Yahoo!
Where you advertise depends on where your target demographic goes for information. Personal experience tends to suggest that Yahoo advertsising gives a slightly better response rate for lower price point items. But the difference could be easily explained by any number of other variables.
Different companies have different results with each. You should try both. Each have a local targeting feature and for the highest quality traffic, try advertising with Content Match Off. (Turning Content Match off means you ad is only shown when people are actively searching for the product or service you offer, and the ad won't appear when someone is merely reading an article about your industry).
There are two different audiences on Yahoo and Google, you need to find out for yourself. I do online marketing and run campaigns on both for a variety of clients. Some campaigns do wonderfully on one and not on the other, some do wonderfully on both. Since you're only paying for people to "respond" to your ad (by clicking on it through to your website), there is no harm in trying both.
Search engine marketing is the highest quality advertising out there, due to its innate self-targeting characteristic. Only people who are looking for what you offer are going to see your ad, increasing the likelihood that they will buy from you once they do see your ad and go to your website.
Hi,
If you have the right Site Build it software, the software submits to search engines automatically.
How did you build your Web site? I hope it wasn't one of those free web builder sites.
You see, there are lots of Web sites that will build a Web site for you. That's where they end. Building a Web site as you probably know is only solving 5% of the puzzle. The other 95% is search engine optimization and internet marketing. Most Web Site Build It software will only do the first 5%, then they nickel and dime you to death with add-ons that purport to do SEO and internet marketing. Unfortunately most of them are scams.
So what is one to do if there is no help from your Web site building software.
Get better software for Site Building. One that has some keyword analysis. Getting search engines to spider your Web site depends on your keyword selection.
Listen! The SEs find Web site by searching for keywords. If a Web site has the right keywords or phrases, the SEs will find it and send you to the front of the class.
But how do you know which keywords are the best. Ahhh! That's the question and I will give you a web site that does keyword analysis and it's free.
The Google AdWords Keyword Tool is an excellent preliminary brainstorming tool. Let's say that you have ten ideas for a theme or Site Concept. This tool gives you a superb "high level snapshot" of how profitable each of your Site Concept possibilities might be.
