Google Adwords Slap?
Question:
I was just curious, does Google do arbitrary quality checks on websites advertised with Adwords?
Or does a bot find websites that do not have a lot of content or are low quality and notify a human about them?
Thanks,
-Mark
Answers:
They do both.
I suggest to strictly follow Google's Guidelines. You don't want your account to get cut...
Hi there,
It is a Adwords Quality Bot that visits your website to see of course how related the keyword in your ad is to the page the customer lands on.
You can also when you are viewing your keywords in Adwords at the top click on colums and enable quality score so you can get a good idea of where your pages are at.
Just make sure there is a good density on that keyword phrase/phrases, page name with that keyword can help, image naming etc. but don't spam the page with keywords keep it natural looking so you can get great conversions.
Right from Google:
If users don't quickly see what they clicked on your ad to find, they'll leave your site frustrated and may never return to your site or click on ads in the future. Here are some pointers for making sure that doesn't happen:
* Link to the page on your site that provides the most useful and accurate information about the product or service in your ad.
* If your site displays advertising, distinguish sponsored links from the rest of your site content.
* Try to provide information without requiring users to register. Or, provide a preview of what users will get by registering.
* In general, build pages that provide substantial and useful information to the end-user. If your landing page consists of mostly ads or general search results (such as a directory or catalog page), you should provide as much information as you can beyond what your ad describes. For example, if your ad mentions <'Free travel information,' your landing page should feature free travel information (versus links to other sites that do).
* You should have unique content (should not be similar or nearly identical in appearance to another site). For more information, see our affiliate guidelines.
Starting with your ad, each interaction you have with your potential and existing customers should be geared towards building a trusting relationship. To avoid leading users astray:
* Users should be able to easily find what your ad promises.
* Openly share information about your business. Clearly define what your business is or does.
* Deliver products, goods, and services as promised on your site.
Example:
If your business doesn't actually provide a service but refers clients to another business, say so in both your ad and on your site.
Example:
If you advertise an offer for a free product or service, users shouldn't have to provide personal information or make a purchase in order to receive the offer.
Hope that helps,

Google takes this quality into their quality score feature...
So if you have a poor landing page then you would get poor quality score then you would need to pay higher to stay visible on Google.com
