The CPC for my keyword went up form $0.10 to $5.00 overnight - I got 17 clicks and now in order to activate the keyword I need to bid at least $5! This is absolutely ridiculous because no one usues this keyword to advertise anything (when I looked up the phrase on international sites there was no ads). What's up with that? It happened after I added 2 AdImages to my campaign. Any idea? Thanks!

This sounds like Google Adwords Landing Page Quality Score.
Google may be increasing your cost per click if site does not match keywords used in campaign.
Like organic search engine marketing it is now important to properly optimized Google Adword landing pages to better match keywords used in campaigns. If site does not seem to have a high quality score your cost per click will be higher than some one with a more targeted, optimized landing page for the same keyword.
Check your landing page this may be the reason for the increased cost per click.
