Should people affiliated with the pro-life movement be forced by law to adopt a high needs child?

Question:
a high needs child would include: a non-infant, a baby or child that is not white, and/or a baby born with physical and /or mental imparement. These are children that have a hard time getting adopted out and have a lesser quality of life due to not having parents.

Answers:
Aside from the issue of forcing individuals to adopt, it should be logical to say "no." Let's not even get into the issue of bias toward against those who are "pro-life." Being adopted, and the son of parents who are pro-choice, it is ludicrous to think that simply being "pro-life" is a reason to mandate that individual to adopt. Thomas Jefferson quoted Adam Smith, I believe it is, by writing "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" into the Declaration of Independence. Just because someone does not agree with abortion, whether it be on ideological or religious beliefs, it would stand in direct opposition to those most basic "unalienable Rights." In fact, one might interpret the tenth grievance listed against the King of Great Britain as the erection of an office established to harass "pro-lifers." The grievance reads as follows: "He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance."
We live in a nation based on the notion of liberty. Of course, being necessary to ensure safety and tranquility, certain laws must be established. Passing such a law would in fact inhibit that very notion of liberty.
Another perspective might be that conservatives (not "pro-lifers," conservatives. The two are not interchangeable) are against "big government." That means that conservatives feel that the more laws there are, the less freedom there is. Every law limits freedom.
Let's look at it this way: you're against drunk driving. We'll go one step further: you're against drinking, period. The city you live in passes a statute saying you now have to sober cab every night of the week because you are against drinking. A bit extreme, yes; but so is mandating that because you believe something you now have to do something else.
Nah, no one should be forced to do anything. Individual liberties baby!
Yes, especially if the Idiots overturn Roe V Wade.
I believe there is no need to force them to because they do it on their own. Yes, we adopt babies that libs are to irresponsible to care for themselves. They are to busy getting drunk and high and watching reality shows.
You would think they sort of deserve to or should be obligated to, given their opinion, but if you're prochoice and your stand is that everyone has the right to choose whether or not to rear a child.. ...it's kind of . going against your opinion. In terms of humour, yes, make them, muahahaha. But in seriousness, no. Parents who are forced into being parents may not come out as good parents anyways.
With a question like that, you should be thankful there is no post-birth abortion law... or you might be a prime candidate.
I would be happy to do that, when I become able.
Abortion is murder, and moral and civilized people should be against it-not making the pro-lifers out to be the baddies.
Yes, and anti-death penalty people should have death row killers living in their houses with them.
No but those who have an abortion should quit being hypocrites. If their neighbor thinks it is ok to pick up a gun and kill them it should be his right. The gov't should not be able to tell us who we can kill and not kill. His choice was to kill the abortionist. Oh you are only pro choice when you can kill someone!!. Actually their should be a law that you at least be truthful in your name and call it pro dth and not pro choice. Maybe we need to pass a law that those who are pro dth keep their legs closed at all times.
The reasoning behind that is of a high level-and perhaps needs a better forum than this-however, many "pro-life" folks are unsuitable to raise children.

Just look at some of the answers from some of the anti-choice bigots.
