I would definately choose Christian because I have already done so. By birth and according to my crazy aunts I am a Catholic. I did not choose to be Catholic, however I did make my first communion as well as baptized as a child. As an adult I have made the honest choice to Christianity. I have been to other types of churches and I feel more comfortable in a Christian church.

Buddhism. It encourages(not shoves) ideas of non-violence, tolerance, trust, finding inner peace to then create outer peace, does not foster competition with others especially other religions, is not dogmatic or preachy, has interesting ideas of philosophy and spirituality that strive to unite people without getting so far out there that only fanatics can believe or relate to them...um.what else. Encourages people to appreciate life and nature and all living creatures without casting judgement. Oh yeah, works towards eliminating judgement..sigh. That's a hard but good one.
And you learn to do things like meditate, drink tea with friends in peace and chant and light incense. ohhh...kidding. But really, it's about calming the mind and anxiety and pain so that people can live with as little suffering as possible. And not to cause more suffering while here. Who could argue with trying to eliminate suffering or at least helping one cope with it!!
