Reverse affiliate marketing?

Question:
I have items I want to sell.
How do I set up a web site and sign up for affiliate marketing?
How much commision should I pay?

Answers:
Smart affilliate marketers are looking for products that have a proven track record, established marketing materials / copy, and a fair number of satisfied customers. Remember, most of your affiliates are going to come from your customer base.

So first I recommend you set up your own site and start selling.

Most shopping cart tools have an affiliate module.

Commission varies, depending on a number of factors - gross margin on the product, selling price, the value / difficulty of getting affiliates, what competitors are offering, etc. I've seen percentages from 100% to less than 1% commission.
I would think that, depending on the cost of the product, you could offer between 5% and 15%.
If you can give up that much percentage of your gross, before profits. You could offer more, but shouldn't need to.
For example, I have a memberhsip-based site and would be willing to pay someone 10% for a lead that came from an affiliated site linked to ours.
Depends on what you're selling. If it's an infoproduct, you can host a sales page on a hosting provider and sell automatically by http://www.clickbank.com.
