Please do not believe what the so called gurus tell you about affiliate marketing. You will not get rich over night, it takes time.
The investment in time is well worth it in the long run.
An excellent manual is High Performance Affiliate Marketing. The book is written by Jeremy Palmer and is an excellent resource for those looking to make money with affiliate programs. Buy it, download it, print it and put it in a 3 ring binder. You will refer to it time and time again.

Yes, but it take work (lots of it when you're starting up). I think most people think it's some magic bullet where you sign up for a program on auto pilot and money falls from heaven. It's not.
If you want to get into affiliate marketing do NOT start off trying to promote 'how to make money on the internet' products. You will get squashed like a bug.
Pick a niche you know something about (or have an interest in) and you will greatly improve your chances of success. There's lots of legitimate affiliate programs out there, and lots of people wanting to buy on the net.

First thing don't buy any ebooks, if they are selling it, its free on the net somewhere else.
