Skip the affiliates until you're bringing in massive amounts of traffic.
Yahoo! Publisher Network, MSN AdCenter, Clicksor.com and AdBrite etc. Also if you are able to generate leads, try cost-per-action instead. The CPA companies are PrimaryAds.com, Filinet.com, AzoogleAds.com and CpaEmpire.com, These are the leading performance based companies that I used and advertised in Google AdWords etc. to generate leads. But currently I am still with Google as AdSense Publisher since 2004 and use AdBrite as alternate to increase revenue as Publisher.

Yahoo publishers pays much more than Google Adesen..But they are pickier ..

-Always promote your domain name not theirs to have the control
-Make sure that they hide their company as much as possible..
