Simple Tracking Script for Affiliate CPA Programs/Offers?

Question: Know/have access to basic html. What is a good simple script for following links on my site to check which pages visitor landed on to complete offer/sign up?
Also is there anything simple to add to this basic script to make sure an affiliate site (the secondary site) registers the page visits or offer completions?

Answers:
You need more than just basic HTML knowledge to do this. It is not complicated though, You need to have a database to store this information and you need to write a server side web programming code like ASP.NET / JSP etc. This language will allow you to write the information to the database.
