I think if you start with e-book you can make some money out of it. Here is the way I can advise; Find out best selling books (check new york times etc) and buy one of these books and type it to and storage it one of these ebook journals and then when you sell the book online you can just send the link and they can read the book. This business requires max 25$. Try to sell best selling book and if you see that it sells a lot then you can either expand your business with hardcopy and ebooks or see other options...

I agree with Nikki on this one. The first thing to consider would be something that gives you enjoyment on a daily basis or something that you can see yourself doing for a long time.
It will be hard to see success with any new business venture, online or off, that does not interest you in some way or another. The most successful online sellers got to be successful by practicing what they enjoy and making it better or offering it to others who may like the same things.
If you are an avid cook, consider a recipe site. If you used to work on cars, thing about something automotive related. If you like to shop, sell items you would buy for yourself, and so on.

I think affiliate marketing is the best but not all type but particularly of digital products viz. ebooks, softwares, music download services etc. they give you more profit margins.
I was also a newbie like you, but recently i joined one course which provides me good training in this field. At the same time giving me an opportunity to cover up my cost.Its win-win for me.

However when selecting one, check out the marketability of the products, the percentage commission you'll receive and VERY important, do you have a TEAM (of human beings) with which you can network and drive your products to the targeted consumers. Sitting behind the computer is great and just a small percentage of the story...Don't be distracted or misguided into buying some $297 product that's gonna help you get good ratings on Google or whatever...the guys who sell those programs earn their money from people who're gullible enough to purchase them..they do NOT earn money doing the things they teach...Rotten truth.
