Google Adsense, Good but Stupid Law??
Question:
its a great idea to prevent cheating but what stops a random user clicking on these ads and getting an account banned? I mean can someone come to my site and keep clicking these ads continuously and get me banned??

I know of several publishers who have been victimized of this type of sabotage. Google sent them a termination warning, but what they did was to provide Google with their log files to show that someone was sabotaging them, and Google reinstated their accounts.
What you can do is if you notice a sudden spike in your earnings (e.g. you normally earn $50 per day and then suddenly your earnings shoot up to $2500 that day) then send Google an email immediately alerting them of suspicious activity on your account. Work with Google proactively
Yes, of course it can happen, google would be more than happy to banned you & keep all your earning to themselve.
