I am planning on starting to use Google Adsense for some income. I started a blog recently. Please check it out at:

If someone could give me some pointers of exactly what to do before I submit it to Google Adsense. All help is GREATLY appreciated!

Add more content. I see only 1 post thus far. You need to have more to improve your chances of getting accepted in the Adsense program.
My concern is that your topic does not really give huge pay per click keywords. Music related keywords are often low cost, and that means your earnings per click will be very low. To earn anything substantial from Adsense you must generate HUGE traffic; otherwise, you'll earn nothing but pennies from the program.
Many publishers get frustrated that they have high hopes with Adsense when they started with their website or blog thinking that they can earn huge amounts. But the reality is that NOT ALL SITES WORK WELL WITH ADSENSE. You must have the right type of site to earn money from Adsense. You cannot just create a blog, slap the Adsense code, and expect to get rich from it.
So what works with Adsense? First, choose a blog topic that attracts people looking for ways to spend money (example is a blog that reviews various cameras and photographic equipment); or blogs that attract audiences that advertisers find very desirable such as high income people or tech savvy folks. Life of Rap Music is not something that entices people to buy anything, unfortunately.
Nonetheless, to improve the performance of Adsense on your site, Google Adsense Help has good tips on where to put the ads on a blog (their blog heat map). Their tips are as follows: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/b...

2. Experiment with multiple ad formats and locations
3. Offer readers more options with search and referrals
4. Improve site targeting
