Google adsense?

Question:
Does anyone know what goole adsense is? I keep hearing about people making money off goole adsense. If you are one of those people could you give me some information on how it works and how I could get started. I would really appreciate it. One good turn diserves another, right. I am desperate and sometimes feel like nothing will ever work. Please help. Thanks.

Take a look at my blog:

It can answer a lot of questions that you may have about Adsense. There is also an entry about how much money people are making using Adsense.

Basically speaking you have a website or blog and you apply to Adsense so that you can put ads on your site. Your site has to be approved by Adsense first. You see Blogger is getting rid of a lot of "spam" blogs so your site has to be approved first. Once your site is approved you go through the steps of adding the ads to your site. You get to pick things like color and size of the ads. Once you do that you will be given the html coding to add to your site. That html coding is the ads.

Now with the ads firmly placed on your site - everytime a visitor clicks on the ad(s) you get paid. How much you get paid per click will NEVER be able to be determined because there are just too many variables! The most popular keywords pay the most in clicks and you can't really specify what keywords you can have - it will depend on the keywords that Adsense "picks up" from your site.

You get paid every month from Adsense as long as your account has reached $100. If you made less than $100 then your totals will be rolled over into the next month. You can get paid either by bank transfer or by regular check in the mail. For transfers people usually get paid by the 25th of the next month.
Google adsense lets you put ad code on your website easily and you make $$ anytime someone clicks one of those ads other than yourself. If you have a website just ad the code just go to www.google.com and set up an account.

Personally I like auction ads better than adsense as its converted much better for me and brings me a lot more money and its just as easy to set up as adsense in fact you can ad both to your website at the same time... here is the link to that..

You need to have a website though to make money off of either program..

Hope this helps.
Google AdSense is basically advertisements that you can place on your website that are run by Google. Advertisers pay Google (who in turn pay you), to be advertised on the Google AdSense network. I have placed a link below to the Google AdSense website.

You get paid by the amount of people who click on your advertisements. Please be aware that if you try to game the system, Google knows that!
The days of making big pay checks on Adsense are gone.

Google Adsense is Google's way of putting the ads that appear on Google search onto publisher's websites. Build a great site (e.g. Digg.com or flickr.com), get loads of people to visit your site, apply for adsense, and watch the money come in! :-)

Much more modest sites can make money from Adsense, however. It is a great way to earn money online, and very do-able.
Well first I read some of the answers. Very interesting. I must be doing something right because I make a living from this. If it doesn't work like it is supposed to then someone should wake me up. My profile might help especially under adsense.
WHAT IS IT EXACTLY?

Adsense is a way to monetize and earn money from your site by putting Google ads from their advertising network Adwords. It has been around since June 2003 and Adsense has allowed many website owners to earn from their sites. I highly recommend going through the Adsense Quick Tour to learn more about the program

www.google.com/services/adsens...

HOW DOES IT WORK

You apply and once you get approved, you can put in the Adsense code in your site. Here are the instructions on how to add Adsense codes on your site https://www.google.com/adsense/support/b...

You earn through various ways:

1. Pay per click - this is the common way to earn which is you earn every time a visitor clicks on your ads
2. Pay per impression - an advertiser can specifically target your site and show ads where you earn via cost per 1,000 impression (e.g. you earn every time someone sees your ad, even though they don't click on it)
3. Referral - you can also earn if you refer a visitor to use Adsense or Adwords, download the Google toolbar, etc.

IS IT WORTH IT AND HOW MUCH MONEY PER MONTH DOES IT BRING IN?

Some sites do very well with Adsense (even in the millions of dollars a year) while many more sites do extremely poorly with the program (can't even earn $10 a month). One of the misconception people have about Adsense is they simply slap it in their websites and it will automatically earn them big money -- which is not true as evidenced by the many disgruntled webmasters

Your income will depend on:

- the topic of your site (if you have high paying keywords you stand to earn more)
- responsiveness of users to ad (are visitors coming to your site with blinders in their eye or do they look at the ads as additional complementary resource)
- traffic (you earn more with more traffic, even if you have low paying keywords or other metrics)
- how you implement the ads on your site (some positions and colors work better than others)

I suggest you join the program (you've got nothing to lose as it is free) and see how your site will do with it. I've been with Adsense since June 2003 and it's been a GREAT income generating program for us. So for me, Adsense is definitely worth it
