Does anyone have a list of criminals affiliated with "The Cather in the Rye?"?

Question: I like the book a lot, but I was just wondering if anyone new who/how many criminals have been affiliated withe the book.

The Catcher in The Rye is one of the most beloved novels of the 20th century. Unfortunately, not everyone loves the book for the right reasons.

The most infamous criminal associated with "Catcher" is Mark David Chapman who shot and killed John Lennon in 1980. Chapman stated the book would explain why shot the former Beatle.

John Hinckley, Jr., the man who attempted to assassinate President Reagan in 1981 was also a big fan of the novel. A copy was found by police in his hotel room.
