How do I find affiliates to help me with my marketing?

A lot depends on which country you are from? But the basic step is to do an online directory search of marketing firms.
Also, understand that the whole business market anywhere works in networks, chains, links and sub links. For example, say you are a US company who has hired a PR company in India to handle various activities- research, event management, media handling, publicity shows, roadshows, etc. The PR firm will take up the whole assignment but will divide the work into various sections and distribute it to its networks- the affiliate event management company, affiliate market research firm, etc.
The event management company will in turn assign the work of designing of sets, stage, etc. to its affiliate agencies who make stages, the F&B to the F&B catererer, etc. If you need models for an event, then they will book up a model agency.
Similarly the research agency will assign the work to its affiliate who have field workers who can conduct consumer interviews, etc.
Thus, even if the whole chunk of work has been taken by one PR agency in the initial stage, the work will be shared among a dozen or so affiliates and sub affiliates. Moral of the story- ask your already existing business partners, associates, anybody that you know. Also, this is a much better way than going for an online search as they can personally tell you which agencies are good and which are not. Another benefit is that if you know this chain well down to the last level, you will know whom to catch directly next time, skipping the middle levels, thus saving you a lot of money.
The PR industry in such cases is a great resource. Call up a PR company and explain your needs to them. Today, the job of a PR company is not only handle media relations, but many do good corporate council.
