How does one increase the landing page quality on Google Adwords?
Question: We are not even getting a good number of impressions after offering a high CPC (for half a dozen competitive keywords).
Our site is minimalistic and is as good or better than most of the leading competitors. We offered upto $50/day for campaign with CPCs (upto $2) and have only gotten 40-50 impressions with zero click thrus.

I would read some articles on how to write a good ad, then write a number of ads and start testing them. You can have 2 ads compete with eachother and find out which is getting the most click throughs...
Also, make sure your landing page has the same keywords as the ones you selected on the PPC, that way your cpc will be lower and you might get better results.
